Manufacturing Leader

Position Summary

This person is responsible for leading the manufacturing and installation teams and is responsible for executing all production functions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality, scheduling, and financial requirements are met for production
  • Develops and maintains manufacturing and installation schedule
  • Initiate, develop, and execute all aspects associated with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
  • Hires, trains, monitors performance and develops the production team (approximately 25 people)
  • Manages the operation and maintenance of the fleet of installation vehicles
  • Responsible for safety initiatives, including compliance with OSHA, EPA, MSDS procedures, and Company policy

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in production or operations management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment (signage experience is a plus, but not a requirement)
  • Ability to lead the production team—exhibit strong communication skills, build trusting relationships, understand people’s needs, establish goals, and coach to develop team members
  • Ability to multitask to find solutions and complete projects on tight deadlines
  • Ability to translate production documents into an effective work flow, including process improvement skills
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and experience with ERP software systems
  • Must exhibit a professional demeanor, work well with a team, and have an excellent attendance record
