Provena Health, a growing Catholic health system in Illinois and Indiana, counts on Poblocki to handle every aspect of signage in many construction projects. The 99-bed, 163,000 square-foot, 4-story addition to Provena Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL, is a prime example. Helping to integrate a brand new structure into the comforting look, feel and layout of existing facilities, we produced a campus-wide interior signage and wayfinding system—on time and under budget.
Amid the complex interior sign system work, Poblocki also produced a new exterior sign for the hospital expansion with a remarkable two-day turnaround—from the green light on the design to installation.
The biggest challenge of the project was ADA-compliant wayfinding. Poblocki provided a modular system that incorporates religious symbols in keeping with Provena’s Catholic mission. Featuring templates for inserts that are easily applied by staff members to change signs due to frequent room use changes, the modular system saves significant time and money for Provena.
